Denise is a Contemplative Psychotherapist who is passionate about working with individuals and groups. She has worked with a broad range of issues including chemical dependency, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationships. After living in Japan for several years, Denise returned to the states and received her M.A. in counseling from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. She integrates the Buddhist approach of mindfulness with a Humanistic approach of self-empowerment to help guide her clients into stepping into their highest potential.
I am an Anxiety Coach looking to share my knowledge and years of experience with anxiety. Anxiety is now the most diagnosed mental disorder, affecting more than 40 million Americans. As someone who has suffered with panic attacks, agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder and many other forms of anxiety since the age of 7, I can truly understand what you are going through. Together we will create a plan and go through the recovery process that’s long overdue. I will be able to provide you with the resources that have helped me and thousands of others who struggle with debilitating anxiety, offering my personal guidance and support through it all.

Welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been practicing for 12 years in the UK and in the US. I have experience working with a diverse range of clientele across a wide array of presenting issues and age ranges. Some of my specialties are: working with people who are expatriates, repatriates, immigrants, or new to the Seattle area; grief and loss; relationship issues; life decisions/transitions; residual issues from childhood trauma or difficult family dynamics; workplace or academic stressors; and neurodiversity such as dyslexia, Asperger’s, and ADHD. I believe that our struggles and differences – both seen and unseen – affect many parts of our lives. It can be severe is certain parts, and subtle in many other parts that may go unnoticed. I look to provide help in healing as a whole and in every aspect of your life.
Senior Life Enrichment Specialist
Alexander Dmitriev spent 5 years as a Life Enrichment Specialist in Portland, OR before coming to Seattle to join CHG. Alex is a fun, creative, enthusiastic person with a passion for working with seniors. He feels a sense of accomplishment as he spends time with residents individually, learning what is important to each of them. Alex relays this information to other team members and family members so that joyful days can be created for all. His passion to work with seniors says everything about him. Alex says a walk outdoors with the residents is a great way to get conversations flowing as well as a chance to exercise and enjoy some fresh air.
Kira Jesica Johal
Kira Jesica Johal earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of San Diego in Sociology, and went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate at the University of Washington School of Law. After spending many years in the legal industry, she transitioned her career to focusing on assisting those with drug and alcohol addiction. She has over 5 years of experience in substance abuse addiction research and rehabilitation efficiency, treatment program curriculum development, and data analysis. Ms. Johal is committed to helping those who struggle with drug and alcohol addictions to understand their disease through education and rehabilitation. She is proud to have assisted hundreds of individuals on their path to recovery from substance abuse. Ms. Johal is dedicated to helping families with addicted loved ones find reputable treatment programs while also developing functional and healthy relationships with their loved ones during the recovery process.
Supporting others in finding resiliency and peace is one of my greatest joys. Since childhood, I’ve found most contentment in healing and helping others in their healing. Dabbling in various healing modalities and theories over the years, I’ve discovered Somatic Experiencing healing to be the most effective in bringing awareness and acceptance to past hurts and trauma. My approach is to provide a safe space where I can listen with curiosity and compassion and invite you to do the same. As you become more regulated, your body becomes a resource, helping you differentiate what is coming from the external environment and what is coming from inside of you. As your body, mind, and spirit become more unified, your most authentic self emerges, which brings the ability to navigate stresses related to everyday living as well as re-negotiating earlier painful experiences. With new awareness, life can begin to feel more relaxing and enjoyable!
